Nimble, responsive and dynamic, the Tracer 2 is a very fast, very light road racer. Good luck finding another shoe this light with this much cushion anywhere else. We kept everything you loved about the original. In particular the PROFLY™ dual density midsole, which offers superior cushioning in the heel and heightened responsiveness in the forefoot, the sock-like feel, and its unique balance of protection and performance. Add to that the ultra-lightweight upper, which features an engineered mesh and TPU overlay for those looking for a performance edge when the going gets fast. Competition take note.
3D puff print frame for lightweight, detailed support
Molded Ortholite® sockliner
Early stage Meta-Rocker for smooth ride
PRO2LiteTM midsole for a unique balance of PROpulsion and PROtection
Strategic rubber placement for lightweight durability
Love the Tracer. Probably the only Hoka that has a decent toe box. have run in plenty of Hoka’s both road and trail shoes and these are the closet you will get to a normal racer. It has the right balance between super cusion ride and nice feel for that push off. Have gone through two pairs in my rotation, and have another just arrived for my next marathon. My go to shoe.
I really can't fault these shoes. A bit heavy for racing shoes, but the Tracers still have that racing flat feel. I have covered more than 300km on roads in a pair of these and have had no problems. Cushioning is holding up well. Only minor distortion around the ball of my foot. Better than most others shoes in my rotation. My current Tracer 2s are my second pair in use and my first pair I use for my faster trail running. They are great for trail running and are proving quite durable. Love 'em.
