A nimble and responsive trail running shoe, the Speed Instinct incorporates HOKA’s PRO2Lite™ technology to offer a more cushioned heel and more responsive forefoot.
Generous lightweight midsole cushioning sits atop a full rubber outsole, which features multidirectional lugs for improved traction. To top it all is a more refined upper with an adaptive fit, a more breathable mesh pattern, and more support for the mid-foot.
The Speed Instinct 2 is a trail racer, responsive enough to race up the mountains and forgiving enough to fly down them.

PRO2Lite™ +10 for a unique balance of PROpulsion and PROtection
Strategic hi-abrasion rubber zones
Multidirectional lugs for supreme grip on varied terrain
I loved the first pair so much I though I better buy a second one before they sell out. Great all rounder shoe, so much foot support. I have been incorporating stationary jumping on my runs and no trouble to my feet or knees.
I have been only running in Hokas for years and have mainly stuck to the Chalenger ATRs but felt like a change. Although the Speed Instinct look AMAZING and fit my foot quite well, I can't run more than 2ks in them. I've tried a few runs with them with different socks etc but my feet really miss the cushioning of the ATRs and the wider toe box. I get a lot of friction from these too. These shoes would suit an efficient runner looking for a fast shoe who likes a stable, snug shoe. Unfortunately, these are now designated work shoes as I feel it would be rude to return after running on trails with them (plus I still love the look of them) but will have to buy something different for running
